It's been a couple of years since I last looked around the TTLB ecosystem. I was once a worm, then grew an exoskeleton. While I wasn't paying attention, I seem to have sprouted some feathers. Here's a brief glimpse at some of my winged neighbors...
No Jello to Nail Here
It's hard to pin this guy down exactly, because the blog-dude at a dog-eared town seems to have a beef against everybody. Big Government RINOs, John McCain, Ralph Nadar, B-H-O, and even Ron Paul fall into his crosshairs. No one is safe! That's the kind of blog I like.
Across the Pond
Paulie espouse timeless wisdom within the title of his blog... Besides not trusting hippies, he stays up on UK politics and guitar, including some cool percussion.
Tim Challies brought this hilarious clip to my attention, with a very thoughtful reflection on our tendency to couch our sin in layers of justifications and obfuscations. The key to effectively dealing with sin? JUST STOP IT!
A Fungus Among Us... and the Cowardly Response of Bureaucratic "Risk Managers"
The City of Bryan's brave firemen are chased out of their station by some slime growing behind the shower stall... meanwhile, environmental consultants and project planners and remediation contractors are laughing all the way to the bank. Give me a bottle of bleach and a box of Tide, and I'd clear that problem up for half the cost, with change left over!
Lower Than Termites, But Deadlier Jawa Report has clips (GRAPHIC) of the Fitna movie up... at least until Google Video pulls them. This 15 minute film is as important to view as the entire three days of coverage following the original 9-11 attacks. This film puts into context the nature of the enemy we face. The Islamists want to conquer and destroy. Nothing less than the fate of western civilization is hanging in the balance.
John McCain is Bob Dole minus the charm, conservatism and youth. Like McCain, pollsters assured us that Dole was the most "electable" Republican. Unlike McCain, Dole didn't lie all the time while claiming to engage in Straight Talk.
I also agree with every word of what she says here, even when it comes to campaigning/voting for Hillary over McCain.
See, Hillary at least acknowledges that she is a democrat. Sadly, many in the republican party are sharing McCain's delusion that he somehow represents the conservative republican base. This mass hallucination is leading to the self-destruction of the republican party.
Slightly unrelated... this mystery bears some looking into.

Hey, all you northeast establishment republicrats trying to shove Guiliani down our red state throats, listen up: Iowans see him as a worse choice than Ron Paul!
- Thirty-four percent of likely caucusgoers see him as one of the worst choices for the Republican nomination. Paul ranks second in that category, at 26 percent.
- While 61 percent regard Giuliani favorably, 38 percent have unfavorable feelings toward him. Only Paul has a higher unfavorable mark in the poll, at 44 percent.
"He's too New York," Whittaker, the retired teacher, said of Giuliani. "He doesn't understand us. He doesn't care to understand us."

As you know, when folded properly, a twenty dollar billdisplays images which are eerily similar to certain elements of the 9-11 attacks. Some folks hold this up as evidence of prior knowledge of the attacks by certain conspiratorial forces, while others dismiss it as mere coincidence. As for me, I've not given it much thought... until I discovered an even more sinister plot hidden within the design of the new $20 bill.
Observe carefully (click on image to reveal larger);
Just another innocent twenty dollar bill, right? That's what they WANT you to think.
Too many coincidences to not be real!
Behold, the hideous beast! The all-seeing eye of Cyclops! Run, flee for your lives!
To reveal the devilish design, carefully fold the bill at an angle, as shown by the red line. The fold must be made between the bridge of Jackson's nose and his left eye. Next, fold the bill back, while carefully pinching the bill at the bridge of the nose (shown in yellow), so as to keep the left eye within the fold, and thus out of view. If done successfully, you will see that the evil free-masons that run the federal reserve intend for the world to be conquered by a race of man eating cyclopeses!
Doubt my conclusions? Consider these points;
Note the shock of hair at the crease... Raging flames of fire shoot forth from the head of the beast... All will be consumed!
The predatory fowl has his beak turned toward the monster, as though prepared to feast upon its very flesh, demonstrating its mastery over the foul fiend.
Though disguised as an olive branch, note the duck foot being shoved into the hideous creature's ear. The Freemason masters (represented by the eagle) intend to use weapons of mass destruction (symbolized by the duck-foot) to exercise control over the brute!
Note the sheild being carried aloft by the (masons) eagle... conveniently sized to make a perfect eyepatch. So long as the one-eyed monster carries out the mason-masters' will, they will shield it and protect it from harm.
Now this is REALLY creepy... the word "series" has now been transformed to "eries", revealing the plot to eradicate all competitive people groups, particularly those that engage in the commerce and trade of beaver furs.
Now look closely at what used to be the word twenty. It now spells TWINT... as in TWIN TOWERS! What more evidence do you need?
BVCAW members and friends will gather on September 20th to demand congressional action to end this disastrous war and to bring our troops home now.
Which is that? Retreat, or Surrender? Or is it both?
Speakers at 5:45 PM will be followed at 6:00 PM by a solemn reading of the names of Americans and Iraqis who have died as a result of the war and the American occupation.
No mention of those that have died at the hands of Islamist radicals. I wonder how many of those "Iraqis who have died as a result of the war" are head-chopping, child murdering terrorists? Can anyone say "Zarqawi"? How about "Uday Hussein"?
The folks at BVCAW have every right to be blithering idiots. Their dangerous message of surrender should, however, be responsibly answered. Anyone interested in countering this noise, please let me know. Here are some of the signs I'd make for such an encounter;
Rock on!
A little Tex-Mex spanish lingo thrown in.
...unless you are a surrender monkey.
Leftist and democrats share the same goal as our sworn enemies.
In another cowardly act of dhimmitude, newspapers across the country are not printing a cartoon which might "presumably" "offend" muslims. While there are elements of Berkeley Breathed's "Opus" that tend to offend many people of good christian conscience, there is nothing in the latest which warrants this action.
While Malkin suggests readers view the cartoon at slate.com, I cannot in good conscience recommend readers to that vile site. Instead, I suggest readers interested in seeing what the ruckus is about view it here. It's almost funny.

Greeting
The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all who know the truth, because of the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever:
Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father's Son, in truth and love.
Walking in Truth and Love
I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father. And now I ask you, dear lady—not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning—that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it. For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.
Final Greetings
Though I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink. Instead I hope to come to you and talk face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
Last year I posted about the militant atheistic attack against Christianity (as well as the logical inconsistency of their militancy.) At long last, a flaming atheist has decided to respond. Out of Christian charity, I will promote this dialog to a full fledged post rather than leaving it buried in the comments...
The commenter that identifies him/herself as "speaker of the truth" says;
really well im an Atheist and i am sure that you bible banging Christians will all aggree that any religon needs to be treated as equal and just because when we say something that was PROVEN like the Big Bang you plug your ears and walk away does NOT make you right
you are just talking trash about us calling us "downright militant" when in truth every war EVER had some form of religon behind it and never was that religon Atheism. look at the "Holy" crusades how many people where killed alot how many didnt even draw a weapon almost every one you caring and loving Christians killed millions of people that didnt do a thing and all this was in the name of your god(your god the holy one thats pure good)killed millions of people please feel free to tell me how the creator of everything is pure good when he made evil(and if satin made evil then did god make satin if not then whos to say satin didnt make the world and if he did the you worshipe pure evil but if god did make satin then why did he make him and why not destroy him)
Speaker, it is very difficult for me to refute your argument, because frankly, it is very hard to understand exactly what you are trying to say. See, at this point of human evolutionary development, mankind has supposedly mastered the skill of communicating abstract concepts using written language, thereby achieving mastery over the other primates. Unfortunately, your lack of punctuation, proper spelling, and other norms of higher communication demonstrate de-evolutionary progress on your part, placing your communications skills at slightly higher than that of a lemur. While you may be able to use a keyboard, evolution has not taught you how to reason and relate rationally. Be that as it may, I will attempt to pick apart your statement and derive meaning from it.
